The Tree of Hopes & The Tree of Challenges

• The 3rd Forum featured group discussions involving all attendees based on dialog and conversations with local residents at the 2nd Forum. To get the discussions started, the attendees were asked why should we think about the decommissioning process and what challenges and hopes the decommissioning process presented. Local residents and decommissioning officials amassed a large number of candid opinions about the decommissioning process.

1. Large leaves on the Tree of Hopes & the Tree of Challenges

• Based on one challenge and one hope contributed by five or six people, groups of around 40 people continued the discussions and created large leaves of hopes and large leaves of challenges. The leaves were then placed on the Tree of Hopes and the Tree of Challenges for use in the afternoon session.

2. Small leaves on the Tree of Hopes & the Tree of Challenges

• Groups of five or six people exchanged ideas and opinions and came up with one challenge and one issue each. This was followed by an active exchange of opinions among all the attendees.
