Shubun Endo
Born in 1971 in Tomioka, Futaba District, Fukushima Prefecture. Following graduation from university, he joined Nippon Kogyo Co., Ltd. in 1994. He has been involved in ODA development projects in roughly 30 countries including in Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Oceania, and Central America. In August 2008, he returned to his hometown as a managing director of Futaba Survey & Planning Inc. A month after the Great East Japan Earthquake, the company relocated its Tomioka head office functions to Koriyama City and resumed business. He assumed the position of President and Representative Director in December 2013, when the company changed its name to Futaba Inc. The company’s activities include reconstruction and revitalization in Fukushima Prefecture, disaster prevention planning for overseas island nations, and environmental conservation. In August 2017, the company opened its head office building in Tomioka and a branch office in Koriyama. Endo Shubun’s qualifications held include Professional Engineer JP (Construction Engineering), APEC Engineer, qualified surveyor, qualified diver, and other civil engineering-related qualifications.
